ugh yeah I do need to change my lightbulbs. but my main problem is I need to figure out where I can buy a ladder first so I can actually reach the lightbulbs at all... the joys of being 5'2" and living by myself in a place with 9-foot ceilings, I can't even reach them standing on a chair.

In a way he is considering he hates light coming in through the windows. so he covers a lot of them up. There's one window where when they moved in he went through a lot of trouble to cover that window that was super high up. It really didn't seem necessary to me.

@@Shadowninja8 If it's the one in the loft you're talking about I think I know the reason. It's because sunlight hastens the aging of videogame boxes and covers, they get all faded and desaturated. So covering the window prevents that. I've had the same light-bleaching thing happen with a yellow notebook on a windowsill before.

It might not so much be the lights, but some faulty wiring issue when the house was built, or the voltage is too high for the bulbs you use.

I also like lights! Until it's migraine season, then it's sunglasses time.

I've noticed the stream video looks more rounded. It may just be the new camera. And I noticed Mals cheeks, ears and nose were red. When the camera is on you, Mal looks stretched out.

I agree. I think it's the wider angle that makes everything that isn't the center more distorted the further out it goes.
It's probably a case of getting used to it, but as of now, I like the other, tighter angle a lot better.

How many Stephens does it take to change a quarter of the light bulbs in the house?

yeah...we don't talk about the lights in my kitchen. Something is wrong with them and I gave up. So many bulbs wasted.
Also the AI generated thing is hilarious:
    AI-generated video summary
    Quality and accuracy may vary.
The video follows a person as they replace a significant number of light bulbs in their home, highlighting the importance of good lighting. They also discuss their recent date night, where they watched a movie and enjoyed a relaxing evening. The video ends with a preview of their upcoming plans, including painting and playing a game.

@@DarianHarder We'll be fine it's just one lightbulb in one room. I'm just surprised long how it's been flickering. Been a month now.

Personally I don’t understand why people need things to be so bright that you need sunglasses to walk into the room!

For filming and photography reasons, is my first guess? Our brains do a lot of heavy lifting for adjusting what we see (eg: a dim room feels brighter than it is, blue skies look very saturated), you only really notice it when you're using tech because it's giving you raw data without the brain applying it's ambient environment perceptions to it.

I can see that @SnooDoodle. But that’s what the “professional” Ring lighting equipment is for. But when we were living in the other house we had a huge picture window in our kitchen over the kitchen table. When my uncle was living with us for approximately a year before moving to the Philippines it was straight up twelve noon. It was a sunny day. I was in there doing something. My uncle came in flips on the light and says “Practicing to be a mushroom?” I just looked at him like “if you can’t see then maybe you need to go to the optometrist before you move out!”
In the case of Stephen’s guest room I feel like that yellow light is enough to see what you’re doing. Maybe i am crazy, but my uncle & his family would have every light in the house on in the middle of the day. That feels kinda ridiculous!
